Sumire is plain and unremarkable. Her flashy, spendthrift mother and sister force her to handle all the housework and make all the money, leaving her completely worn out in both body and spirit. One day, a yakuza gang shows up to collect her sister’s debt, and in exchange for repayment, Sumire is sold off to them. Abandoned by her family and sinking into despair, Sumire is met with unexpected kindness from Hidaka, the young yakuza lieutenant. Later, when Hidaka sees her dressed up to work at the club, he suddenly makes a bold declaration: “…You don’t have to go out there. Become my personal housekeeper.”
