Samuari Poupan / ?????? is a five-page spin-off comic of a script we're working on - there's a girl samurai, a cursed armour with a demon-uncle and a sword to be retrieved.The title is a mix of English, Japaneses and Greek. ?????? is an idiolectic word meaning 'Where are they going', a reminder for ourselves that we still need to figure out where this comic is heading. In 1992, Shintaro Kago began publishing what was supposed to be the first full-length manga of his career. Unfortunately, the magazine that published it, Bandai's Cyber Comix, was discontinued in October of that year and the manga remains unfinished to this day. Only three chapters exist. Kago did recycle the basic concept of a girl able to switch between our reality and a cyberspace-like spiritual realm in a later one-shot (ataraxia) and an even later different full-length work (Six Consciousnesses Thought Changing Ataraxia).

It was serialized in Monthly Magazine Garo () from May to December 1975.The story depicts the people of Yonezaad, rising up against the re-invasion of King Carmel, who once ruled the Yonezaad continent.Many characters in Atagoal would make their first appearances in this series (Ex. Hideyoshi, Tempura, Gilbars, and Pantsu) although their roles are significantly different in this series than those from future Atagoal publications.
