As her older brother, Mutsuki is determined to free Uzuki from her confines.

Collin, a member of an aristocratic family, and Rose, an innkeeper's daughter, promise to marry each other despite the differences in their social status. However, in the midst of the Napoleonic Wars in a combat zone, Collin receives a letter from Rose one-sidedly breaking off the engagement.
